Sanpete County-wide Bike Path

We are advocating for a two-way, family-friendly, and ultra-safe bike path that extends from Fairview down to Gunnison, approximately 47 miles. This project has received tremendous support. Last year, Spring City, Utah, received a $750,000 grant from the DOT to conduct a feasibility study that will determine the exact route. The study is evaluating US 89 and parallel routes. After the route has been developed and approved, our hope is to tap into existing funding available from DOT and/or the state for construction funding. The goal is to ensure the trail is accessible and connects people to as many destinations as possible, such as stores, parks, schools, and more.
